The following projects have been created by initial drawings, then Adobe Photoshop & Illustrator in CS4.

EBABZ FEST 2012 – The 3rd Annual East Bay Alternative Book and Zine (EBABZ) Fest celebrates local zinesters, artists and publishers. Hosted at Berkeley City College on December 8th, 2012, guest speakers Eric Drooker and Adam Mansbach, over 50 vendors, workshops and over 300 attendees were invited by the event’s organizers: Ara Jo, Tomas Moniz, and Jamie Mayne. Ara was solely responsible for the graphic design of all fliers, online images, and layout design of the 18-page EBABZ-published zine, “A People’s Guide to The East Bay” of public submissions of East Bay favorite locations and to-do’s.

DOA 2013 – Recent transplant to Oakland from Chicago, Dwight Overton Apparel became the first arts-in-residency at Rock Paper Scissors Collective and created a clothing line called “DOA 4 RPSC”. This unisex collection of flowing tops and baggy bottoms of green, brown and tan knit jersey needed hang tags and business cards to reflect the line. Ara Jo saw the integrity of DOA’s products as well as the potential of the fabrics as a design component the night before the collection’s runway debut at the Oakland Art Murmur March 2013.

HELLA VEGAN EATS (HVE) 2011-2013 – Oakland-based catering power couple and company proudly show their eccentric taste that reside within their menus and their company aesthetic. Over the years, Ara has worked with them behind-the-scenes and on the front lines at their pop-ups and food festivals.

Rock Paper Scissors Collective (RPSC) 2010-2013 – As a volunteering member and Gallery Director at RPSC, Ara gets many opportunities to direct and create event media, including that of the annual Cupcake Bake-Off and monthly gallery exhibition fliers. Social media content is inclusive to all the creative endeavors.
